Bowness Community Statistics
Bowness is a community district in west Calgary. It was an autonomous town until 1964, when it was amalgamated by Calgary.
The neighbourhood is bordered by the Bow River on the north and east, 16th Avenue on the south,
and Stoney Trail on the west. Immediately over the river to the east lies the community of Montgomery, itself an autonomous town until Calgary amalgamated it in 1963.
On the northwest end of the community is one of Calgary's most popular parks, Bowness Park. The
park sits between the Bow River and a lagoon, and is popular for picnics, summer sports, ice skating in the winter, and boating. It is also part of the city's large pedestrian pathway network. To the south-east, it is bordered by Edworthy Park.

Edgemont is a residential neighbourhood in northwest Calgary, Alberta, Canada, located north of the community of Dalhousie and bounded by John Laurie Boulevard to the south, Sarcee Trail to the west, Country Hills Boulevard to the north and Shaganappi Trail to the east.

Hillhurst is a northwest neighbourhood located within the inner city of Calgary. The boundaries of the community include 8th Avenue N and 16th Avenue N to the north, 10th Street W to the east, the Bow River to the south and both 14th Street W and 18th Street W to the west.

Located north of the Hillhurst and West Hillhurst communities, the boundaries of the district are 16th Avenue N (Trans-Canada Highway)to the north; 14th Street W to the east; Lane north of 7th Avenue N to 19th Street W and 8th Avenue N to the south; and Crowchild Trail, 12th Avenue N, Juniper Road, and 22nd Street W to the west.
